Gather DNA is an ability used by Rex Chance in the Campaign. When used, he will shoot a neutral animal with his dart gun. The player can then use the same animal in his or her army, and this is the main way to recruit animals for combining. Rex gains the ability in the first mission, Exile, after finding the dart gun.
